About Us
A letter from our founder
Hi there,
Hi there,
I started Arctic Fox in 2017 with a simple goal: to create sustainable, staple accessories that provide ultimate warmth and comfort even in the coldest temperatures.
The inspiration for the brand came after an inspiring trip around Iceland, where the blend of functional design and the natural beauty of icy landscapes that looked utterly otherworldly, left a lasting mark on me. When I then returned to complete my final year of fashion at uni, I became acutely aware of the industry's devastating environmental impact on our planet. It was clear that in order to create a responsible brand, we’d need to work very hard to be better and try to become part of the solution.
Our commitment to sustainability and our core values - centred around product, people, packaging, and planet (more details below!) - guide every single decision we make, from concept through to production into store. We pledge transparency, kindness, and a constant pursuit of improvement and innovation. As we grow, our standards, mission, and goals will continue to evolve as we strive to be a force for positive change.
My background is shaped by two islands on opposite ends of the world, each offering the richness of both Eastern and Western cultures, arts, and values. I am completely fascinated when these cultures overlap, blending into an East-meets-West fusion that always serve as inspiration. Japanese and Scandinavian influences -known for their simplicity, minimalism, functionality, and quality - are deeply woven into the fabric of Arctic Fox.
Since 2017, we’ve proudly grown Arctic Fox from my university bedroom floor to market stalls, pop-up shops, to fulfilling orders from frozen storage units, to now having a proper office and warehouse with radiators (which is a huge positive 😂) and being stocked in over 310 stores worldwide. Something I never could have in my wildest dreams imaged 7 years ago and its all thanks to the support of our customers (some of you who have stuck by us from day one) and our incredible stockists.
I’m so excited to see what the future holds and I hope you’ll join us on our journey. If you do, a very warm and heartfelt welcome to our ‘skulk’ (our pack of arctic foxes).
With love,
Charlotte x
Planet
-£1 from every order is donated to Big Blue Ocean Clean Up, removing 1kg of plastic from our oceans.
-We are carbon neutral. We offset all our carbon output through the Woodland Trust UK.
-We donate 5% of our profits to WWF to support the incredible work they do to limit climate change.
Product
All of our products are made from either:
- Recycled materials (usually made from recycled plastic bottles, repurposing this planets waste and turning it into something beautiful)
- High welfare wool, certified by either the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) or Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS)
- High quality industry off-cut fibres which would have otherwise been wasted
- Redesigned dead stock that would have otherwise been destined for landfill.
Our collections and styles are all produced in small quantities and using only what is available.
People
We currently work with one factory specialising in accessories based just outside of Shanghai, and we have a very close working relationship.
They are internationally accredited and uphold the highest ethical standards, producing for renowned brands like Acne Studios, Karl Lagerfeld, and The White Company. The working conditions are clean, safe, and comfortable, with the use of high-tech machinery and equipment. All workers receive a fair living wage.

A note from our founder: "A little bit about myself: I grew up in Shanghai and have been visiting factories with my mum, who works in fashion, since I was 5 years old. Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand both exceptional factories and, unfortunately, some that fell short of acceptable standards. This experience deeply shaped my understanding of the industry.
I went on to study Fashion at university and spent my placement year working as a Product Development Intern at Hunter Boots in London. During that time, I also worked in their Sustainability & Ethics department, where I gathered details from suppliers to ensure compliance with the company’s high standards and guidelines.
With this knowledge and experience, I’m proud to say that the factories that produce for Arctic Fox are among the very best."
Packaging
Our packaging is plastic-free, made from recycled material and is both fully recyclable and biodegradable.
We personally hand wrap and pack all orders, providing a lovely unboxing experience – a perfect gift to yourself or your loved ones. We believe that our packaging should only contain the essentials that gives our customer the best experience which reflect our products & brand values, but nothing more.
